Welcome to the Tiny Houses Breakfast 4 Our Friends (formerly Greensboro Burrito Breakfast) Wiki Page.
Hayes Holderness began a weekly breakfast service in November 2009 to share food, care, and compassion to the experiencing homelessness, calling it Burrito Bikers since initially he rode on a bike to deliver burritos and bottled waters. He and his wife Cherie kept the project going for 8 years, watching it grow into a community project with assistance from many, including families, schools, and churches. The Holdernesses have transitioned ongoing primary responsibility to the great people with Greensboro Tiny Houses and they have renamed the project Breakfast 4 Our Friends.

The project still welcomes volunteers as often as people want to sign up and get involved. The sign up sheet is below.

Breakfast burritos, sausage biscuits, and doughnuts are good food items to take, along with bottled waters. If you are going to take food, we suggest taking 50-60 "main items". Donut World generously donates leftover doughnuts on Friday nights at closing time, but you have to be there at 9:00 pm to pick them up. Take your own crate or boxes to put them in. Try to get there by 8:55 so they don't lock up and start throwing things away at 9:00.

If you can help, you can sign up directly below by hitting the EDIT tab at the top right of this page, enter your name and what you will bring in the boxes below, and then hit the SAVE button which will show up on the top right.

Would be great to have burritos or another "main item", but even just taking doughnuts and water is a way to share camaraderie, care, and compassion.
